Thank you for your interest in booking us for your event! You may be wondering how much we charge for a performance. Read on to find out more!

As professional handbell musicians, we make every attempt to keep our performance fees reasonable. Our space requirements, set-up time and travel costs will often be smaller than those of a traditional full-size handbell choir. That’s an advantage of being a two-person handbell ensemble! Our performance fees will usually depend on several things – for example:

  • The type of performance or service you’re looking for (e.g. full-length concert/background music/worship service/workshop);
  • The length of the performance;
  • The date, time of day, and total time commitment involved.

Important information to consider

We’re not volunteer musicians. Our music is not a hobby for us; it’s our profession. We charge performance fees, and can’t give performances in exchange for dinner, cookies or “exposure”. We’d love to be able to do it, but we do need to be able to pay our bills. For worship services, please read about our handbell ministry.

If you’re on a limited budget for your event, please let us know, and we’ll do what we can to work within it. However, we can’t guarantee that this will always be possible, particularly if the performance venue is outside West Michigan. If you’re requesting a performance that involves travel outside our local area, our quote will reflect any necessary travel and accommodation expenses. We’re often asked to travel long distances for short performances. If we’re spending an entire day traveling to and from a performance venue, our fee will reflect the total time commitment; not just the length of the performance itself. If we’re unable to provide a quote for you that’s within your budget (or that we feel offers reasonable value for money), we’ll do our best to refer you to a handbell choir or other music ensemble closer to you.

Travel costs can increase the cost of booking us for a performance, but we’re happy to combine several bookings where possible. This can often help to make things more affordable for our hosts. For example, we could perform a concert at one church, play in a service at another, and teach at a handbell workshop. That way, the costs could be shared between two or more churches. We could perform at a Christmas party on a Saturday evening, and play in a worship service in the same area on a Sunday morning. We’re open to suggestions and discussion, so if you have any ideas, let us know!
