Community and fundraising events are more fun with handbells!
Thinking of having handbell music at your community event?
Let us know how we can enhance your community, nonprofit or fundraising event with the music of handbells! Maybe we could give a street performance at your community event? Perhaps we could play at your city’s holiday market? If you’re in charge of entertainment for your community group, you could consider one of our interesting talks about the history of handbells and how they’re played, with a demonstration performance. We could even provide an opportunity for a have-a-go session on handchimes for members of the audience, There are lots of possibilities, and we’re always open to suggestions. The photo below shows a have-a-go handchime session at a garden party in California. Learning to play Amazing Grace has never been so much fun!

Handbell music can be a wonderful addition to a holiday event, even outdoors. It’s a lot easier if it’s not snowing, of course!

Here are a few of the community event performances we’ve given:
- Kerstmarkt, Downtown Holland
- Holiday performances at Hudsonville Library
- Burcham Hills Holiday Lights Festival
- Downtown Holland Street Performer Series
- In concert with the Zeeland Community Band
- Sundar Shadi Holiday Display, El Cerrito, California
- GISSV German Holiday Market, Mountain View, California
- Kara Annual Candlelight Service of Remembrance, Palo Alto, California
- First Friday, Los Altos, California
- Plaza Palooza, Mountain View, California

How much would a handbell performance cost?
If you’re organising a community or fundraising event, please note that we’re not volunteer musicians. Our music is not a hobby for us; it’s our profession and livelihood – and we charge performance fees accordingly. We are often asked to travel long distances at our own expense to perform for community and charity events. We’d love to be able to do this, but our finances don’t currently allow it. Please bear this in mind before you ask us to book flights at our own expense, or to perform free of charge at your event. If you’re working with a limited budget, please let us know, and we’ll do what we can to help. If we can’t provide what you need, we can sometimes refer you to another handbell choir or other musical ensemble closer to you.
