Yay! Handbell videos! We have lots to share with you. Some are from performances, and many are demonstration videos for the arrangements available to purchase from Choraegus.
Here are a few of our favorite handbell videos. You can find lots more on our YouTube and Vimeo channels. Go to Vimeo for a commercial-free viewing experience. Not surprisingly, there are lots of videos on our Facebook page too.
If you enjoy our videos, we’d love to hear from you. Please comment, ask questions, and let us know if you’re a handbell musician too. Please also feel welcome to share our videos with your friends on social media. Connect with us on Facebook, and help us to spread the word about handbells, and share the joy of music!
Performance Videos
It’s a treat for us to have the opportunity to present a concert with other musicians here in West Michigan. Here’s a video of Blessed Assurance, arranged for handbells, piano and flute. The video is from our concert in St. Joseph, with Gary and Martha Matthews:
Here’s the video from our online 2020 Christmas concert, recorded in our Victorian summer cottage at Bay View in northern Michigan:
In May 2019, we flew to California to teach and perform there. Here’s our 8-bell arrangement of Gwerzy, performed at a lunchtime concert:
Here are some wedding bell peals!
Larry’s original composition A Minor Crash was performed at the Bay View Week of Handbells in 2019:
Rehearsal and Demonstration Videos
We’ve enjoyed putting together some demonstration videos of some of the full-choir pieces available from Choraegus.
Here’s Those Were the Days; the song made popular by Mary Hopkin in 1968. This arrangement for handbells and flute was fun to put together.
We enjoyed creating this demonstration video of Vårvindar Friska (Fresh Spring Winds). This melody is also used for the hymn O Living Breath of God, particularly suitable for Pentecost.
Here’s our demonstration video of our 16-bell arrangement of Psalm 22 (When We Are Tempted to Deny Your Son). This hymn is perfect for worship during Lent:
